happy hunting will appear Friday August 17, 2007 at Sylvie’s 1902 W Irving Park Rd. Chicago IL. Also performing are Baby Nonstop and Anne’s Pants Band.
first up, happy hunting are producing the debut album from tim skraba. this record will be chock full of lazy covers of lazy tunes. due come fall.
second: the first nash reiter album: ‘purty in pink, a new wave of country’ is being produced simultaneously. in time for xmas gift giving.
which leads us to the new happy hunting record. we’ve got new songs like praying for rain and sleeping in on sunday, tim and i think this will be the best happy hunting ever. with guest drummers like juan bonjambon and kuss runkel, not to mention om tellett and the guy who used to play with illy bidol, the back beat is all sewn up, backbeat. dew(sic) out next spring.
even better, it looks like we’ll be playing out sometime in the next year. but that’s further down the road.
and, of course, we’d like to say a hearty hello to our friend tom ellett who, i’m guessing, is in the dairy wonderland of wisconsin (moo) and a call out to russ feingold.
